My child was receiving therapy from Vickie at the Alpine Center in 2010. It is now Nov. 2011 and I am just receiving a bill from them for $45.00 from a visit in March of 2010. When I called to see why they were sending me a bill the very rude secretary wouldn't give me any explanation and demanded that I pay it. I asked her to have the therapist (Vickie) call me back and I still haven't received a call from her.
I received another bill and so I called back again and talked with a nice lady named Teresa but she wasn't willing to take any responsibility to help me solve the problem. She said she would contact their billing office in SLC with some questions she had about my account because she was new and call me back. I received a call from a boy in the SLC billing dept. he lied through his teeth saying that they had been sending out a bill every month since 3/2010. He demanded that I pay the money. He basically called to bully me and lie and not try to compromise. I hung up on him. I called Teresa back and nicely asked her why she had that guy call and bully me. She said he was in charge of my bill from now on and I would have to speak with him. After I hung up I had a voice mail from Phil (the boy in the billing dept in SLC) threatening me and saying if it was not pd in full it would be send to collections today. I called back and paid it to avoid any dings in my 800 credit score. Don't you think if they had been trying to collect money from me since 3/2010 it would have already went to collections? They haven't sent me a bill until now. They did some reconciling on their bookwork and found some clerical mistakes and are trying to make the customers pay for it. When my son was attending sessions the receptionist had us paying a certain co pay amount and after about 3 times she said that she had checked on the amount we were supposed to pay and we had been over paying so we didn't need to pay the next few times. They did not know what they were doing. Aside from all that, Vickie was not an effective therapist.....never felt like things improved because my son was seeing her.
The turnover rate is very high at this office, that may be why the billing department doesn't know what they are doing.
