on Schedule for Phased 2012 Opening
New location extends the availability of
Pate?s evidence-based therapy programs for individuals with acquired brain injuries
DALLAS?February 13, 2012? Pate Rehabilitation, delivering evidence-based treatment and support programs for individuals recovering from acquired brain injuries, announced today that construction of its new Fort Worth residential and rehabilitation facilities is on schedule for a phased opening this year. The new facilities will make comprehensive therapy services more accessible to patients who find it challenging to travel for treatment at Pate?s existing locations in Dallas and Anna.
?Individuals with acquired brain injuries and their families face unique and, typically, long-term challenges,? says Kent Hayden, president of Pate Rehabilitation. ?It?s critical that programs and services supporting their recovery are convenient. We identified a lack of treatment options in Fort Worth and are confident this new facility will help fill an important need.?
Pate anticipates treating approximately 40 patients a day at the Fort Worth campus, which will occupy 16 acres of land in the city?s eastern corridor. The residence is scheduled to open in late spring 2012, while the rehabilitation center is scheduled for completion later this year. To better serve the Fort Worth population in the interim, Pate has recently opened a 7,300-square-foot temporary facility in Watauga?located at 8317 Whitley Place, Watauga, TX 76148?where patients are now being seen for daily treatments.
