(Un) Happy Halloween for me! Recently I went to a friends neighborhood to take my 2 year old Trick or Treating for the first time. I accidently blocked a driveway ( I will take the blame for that!), the kind officer did try to locate me for 30 minutes but eventually had to call for a tow. I luckliy was able to catch the tow man before they took it to their lot. But I had to pay $125 to get it off the truck. The ""gentleman"" towing the truck stated his boss wouldn't budge on the price. Ironically his last name was Weaver, does he not have any say in his own company? I appreciate it was after hours and that the car was loaded, but if I called the garage to tow my car if it was broken down and they charged me that much money, even if it was after hours, I would be hanging up on them and contacting a more reasonable garage. I am a single mother, I make $500/week and I work a 50 hours week. This Mr. Weaver, at best lost an hour of his time. He made $125 in one hour (even with gas deducted he got off great!) - I would have to work 12.5 hours to make that same money. Perhaps I should consider becoming a tow truck driver. If you want a good garage I would suggest M&R Auto in Lancaster, they are honest and when I have needed at tow, after hours they did not charge me an unreasonble price.
