Unprofessional. I had to change a font on a wedding invitation and had sent an email telling them to pick one for me if I didn't have time to swing by and look at the options myself (why not, I'd get a proof right?-wrong). I actually did have a few minutes to come to the store and look at the options and picked one out. Turns out the associate just sent it to print without ever asking me if I was ready for it to print! She obviously had questions about whether I had wanted another proof, because she had sent an email asking that earlier in the day, but I hadn't gotten it yet. I told her at my visit I hadn't looked at my emails yet when she informed me she had sent me one. Unusual with that information she didn't ask me her question verbally in the store or wait for my email response. After all why would she do something as important as a final print on expensive invitations without a clear and final question asking me about it first, right? I pre-paid over $800 for these invitations and she made a decision without me ever answering questions about the next move or seeing the changes I picked out. I believe that she made a mistake and now she refuses to be held accountable; expecting me to pay for a "fix" ($50 at cost re-do). She claims when I was in the store I said "oK" and that was her cue to print. The question about another proof or printing NEVER came out of her mouth. I was in a hurry, pricked a font and left. I'm sure I said "ok I'll talk to you later" or "ok, thanks for your help". Ok is also not an answer to "are you ready for these to be printed?" or "do you want another proof?" That answer is typically "YES". FYI: I had previously dealt with Studio R downtown for my save the dates. Every change was sent with a proof ( and there were at least 3) and the written agreement was explicit about requiring the words out of my mouth "print" before they were printed-- and that was for only a $200 print job. The girls there are much younger than the scratch pad, yet way more experienced. They even sent me an email asking how my invitations were going 3 months later. Don't put yourself through the hassle of the "cheaper" stationary store! It will cost you more in the long run-or just be prepare for associates who won't think! I will not be recommending them to anyone. Pros: null Cons: null more
