We remember the original Las Palmas on Victory and Lankershim years ago. The food and service used to be above average. Bought a restaurant doth comcertificate so figured I try their re-opened location. What a mistake!
When I arrived at 3pm today (Saturday) the place was empty - not a good sign. Ordered 2 breaded steaks. Mentioned to waiter and older lady cook that I had a coupon and cook said we no longer take them! Are you kidding? Just bought it 2 weeks and told here told the coupon had no expiration date - she said ""we don't take them anymore"" - ok I said no problem we are not eating here then. She then says ok we will take since you are here already.
40 minutes after our order - the waiter tells me that they do not have breaded steak! Are you kidding?? It took them 40 minutes later to figure this out.
They said they could get me regular steak and I said ok. But immendiately proceeded to get up and tell cook forget it we would pay for our drinks and not eat there.
The cook got upset and told me the steak was cooking. I told them it was rude they waited 40 minutes to tell me they had no breaded steak and this was after they hassled me about coupon.
I paid for my drink and as I was walking out the cook in a sarcastic tone yelled ""have a great day - take care"".
In this recession, you would think they would some common sense for better service. DON'T GO HERE - they have unprofessional attitude. No wonder they place was empty and will be out of business soon!
