I wanted to like this place. The tables are set nice with cloth, very rustic inside. Kind of a cross of bar (pool table in sight of resturant) and country cafe.
We ordered the burger (basic) and the chicken breast sandwich which came with bacon, rasberry glaze and ""melted mozzarelli cheese"" They both came with a pickle and our choice of chips or deli salad. We choses the hand cut fries for $2.00 extra each.
That was a waste of $2.00. The fries were limp, no crisp to them at all, they tasted fresh but bland, no salt no crisp. The chicken was dry and I had to ask for mayo to slather on so I could choke it down. It had no flavor appearently the bacon was supposed to be the highlite of the sand but I asked for no bacon on it. There was very little rasberry sauce, hardly could taste it. Again why I needed to ask for mayo. I should have asked for more sauce but was so dissapointed in the food I didnt bother. After I ate most of my sandwhich I remembered it was supposed to have cheese on it. I mentioned to the waitress that I think they forgot the ""melted"" cheese. She argued and said ""no it was on there I saw it when I brought it to you. I neither saw it nor tasted it. And it came to me open face. If it was there is was hiding under the chicken not melted on top as described on the menu. I hate that!
For $8.99 plus $2.00 for fries it was a total waste of money. Plus since I did not get the bacon they could have maybe reduced the price? I know they would upcharge me if I added bacon to a sand but then why do they never reduced the price if you forgo it?
Also as others have mentioned the ladies room is a joke. You can not hang your purse in the stall or move with out your knees hitting the stall door which has no lock on it. I am very short and my knees were close to hitting the door , no way a tall lady could use the toilets. Seriously! You can tell a lot about an establishment by their bathrooms. This one is cheep and not in the best interest of the customer.
Oh, the burger for $5.99 plus $2.00 for fries was of the frozen variety kind. Would never order it again, How hard it is to make a fresh burger?
