I bought some sale items for my daughter in college. It was out of the way for us to go to Staples, but I couldn't beat the price of a penny for some items. My boyfriend came with me because there was a limit per person. We got the things on sale plus spent about $100 or more on regular priced items.
The items were a penny after rebate. My order was fine and the cashier gave me all of the rebate information, however, he really messed up my boyfriend's order by charging him twice for items he didn't get, plus he didn't give him all of the rebate information.
I called the store to let them know and the person who answered the phone was rude and put me on hold for a manager for over 10 minutes. I hung up and called back, no apology or anything. Rude again then on hold for about the same amount of time. I called back again and finally got the manager. He was nice to begin with and tried to work things out over the phone with the rebates but that is when I discovered that the cashier double charged us for some items. The manager said I would have to come in the store and it just wasn't worth $8 for me to drive 12 miles and take the time to fix the problem. He wasn't so nice anymore and at that point I just gave up on the whole idea of getting reimbursed.
I could go on and on but I think you can get the picture of how they treat their customers there. I will never go there again.
