I had wanted to go to Joe's for quite some time but refused to pay $15 to park. My husband and I finally got a day off and during the day there is actually some street parking available so it's only a few bucks. We were really looking forward to the meal. Then, we were HORRIBLY disappointed. I promise that you will get better and more upscale seafood at Captain D's and I am NOT a fan of Captain D's. It wasn't simply not up to par. It was gross. The hushpuppies seemed like they hadn't even actually been cooked. The fish was wiry and hard, like maybe it sat under a heat lamp? The fried shrimp was mushy underneath the batter. It is taking time and effort out of my day to write this review and the only reason I'm doing it is because if it saves even one person the disappointment I experienced here today, I will have done my job as a decent citizen. Seriously, if you don't heed this warning you will think back on it as you pay that $60+ bill.
