One of the worst experiences of my life!
I've been a customer here since they opened in the nineties. I have made many large wholesale and retail purchases...I left a small item in my cart, (which the clerk did not check) after a sizable purchase and was accused of shoplifting -subjected to being kept in a small room and intimitated...I was searched for drugs and weapons. I was accused of taking things they do not even carry like make up.
I was treated with more contempt than I can express here.
Fabric Depot has a very extensive undercover loss prevention system. And yet they carry all kinds of small items. They impose fees on anyone they suspect of improper behavior which actually funds this department. I always wondered why the employees had such an odd, defensive, slightly fearful manner and now I know why.
If you choose to shop there, know that you are always on camera. You are not free to engage in a creative process at this store! Anything like bringing in your own projects or folding out a bit of fabric is considered suspect. I was informed
