Stay away from this den of thieves 10/4/2011

This place is a throwback to the old thieving tire stores that I used to avoid. In short, I would advise people not to even enter the parking lot. I am a long time Tire Kingdom customer and have purchased my last 4 sets of tires from their store on Fowler Ave. I was thrilled that a store opened up in my neighborhood. Last night, I noticed a nail in my rear tire, so I got up early to take it to Tire Kingdom. They opened right at 7:00am and I explained the situation to the service person. I showed him my receipt for the tires, he found me in the computer and confirmed I was a long time customer. He then went outside to inspect the tire. He came back, and said the nail was not in a "repairable area" and that the tire was too old to fix. He did not offer any pro-rate on the tire even though it had plenty of thread life. His estimate to replace was $189 for a SINGLE tire. I promptly took my keys back and drove across the street to the Good Year store. They were able to easily patch the tire, and gave me an estimate for a new set of Dunlop tires to consider. I will be back to Good Year when I'm ready for new tires. Tire Kingdom has lost a loyal customer. Beware of places that don't honor their own road hazard warranties and hire double talking salesmen. more
