I loved this place for its staff' bohnomie, the size and features of the rink, itself, and the freaking-amazing moves of the other skaters.
Top feature to recommend the rink: it's larger than the one in glendale, AND it has a little ""baby-rink"" in the center. The baby rink sheltered some youngsters completely new to skating, but it also gave me -- a 20-something hipster-fledgling -- safe space to perfect some basic but tricky moves. It was just large enough to practice skating and turning, and trying to start skating backwards.
It wasn't very crowded on a Sunday afternoon. Plus, there were some regulars who were AMAZING. Grooving as they whizzed around the rink's perimeter.
All in all, overlook the slightly dilapidated cubbies, and come on out!!
