I was a soldier stationed at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville North Carolina. I enlisted for 4 years and was sent overseas twice for deployment in Iraq and the S Korea. When soldiers are not deployed we tend to drink and spend our money or money we do not really have. I find myself in 20,000.00 in debt in credit cards. I knew what I was doing at the time but things can get out of hand when you are bored, lonely and around a bunch of instant gratification temptations while working for uncle sam. I did not re-enlist and wanted to go to college after my service commitment was up. It was then I noticed how bad my debt was and that I could not pay it off with the GI bill and still go to college. I began to worry about all the interest I would be accruing while I would be getting my education. I thought I could get a job and just pay off my debt and go to school part time. However a semester went by and I found my interest rates rising before I could pay them down. I didn't even enroll into school
