I hired Werner Donaldson to do a residential move of no more than 35 miles. When Mike Martin quoted the cost of the move, it was very competitive. He mentioned that they would be using a larger truck and most items won't be required to be broken down. As he called it ""floated on"". He did give me a bottom line price that they would not exceed. \r
Unfortunately, they sent over a much smaller truck and the entire house was broken down and pack in like sardines to the top! It was when they were moving into the next residence that I noticed dings/grooves in my wood furniture, even though all the wood was wrapped in padding. Luckily, none of the glass or mirrors broke. I felt due to the ""sardine"" packing that is how some of the wood pieces were damage. \r
The office staff was very courteous and polite and they constantly called me during both moves of how things were going. \r
At the end, for some reason the final price was slightly more. I had them look into it the following day and find out that it was a mistake and ultimately the actual cost was much, much less than the original quote. It took a while to receive this credit. \r
Coincidentally, even though the movers were aware of the damage, they never follow through to offer repairs. I didn't pursue it, because I was disgusted, but an acknowledgment from the office would have been appreciated. Unfortunately, nothing was ever mentioned. \r
