I went to Stella Blu after hearing amazing things about the restaurant and reading their diverse menu.
For an appetizer, we ordered the Lump Crab Risotto. The crab was fantastic. The mushrooms placed on top of the risotto were also great. The risotto was entirely inconsistent and stuck in our teeth. Parts were cooked well, parts were over-cooked and parts were under-cooked. Overall, a toss-up for the appetizer.
For dinner, she ordered the scallops with tomato risotto and I ordered the Chicken Marianne. My dinner had literally no flavor. The mashed potatoes were bland. The green beans were bland. The chicken was overdone and the sauce was visible but tasteless. I returned it and had it removed from our bill. The grilled scallops were perfect but the risotto issue from our appetizer was revisited.
Overall, the environment is cozy. The wine list is decent. Just don't order chicken or risotto.
Dinner cost $83 and was worth about $20.
