I originally went to another nursery closer to my home and the selection wasn't very nice so I decided to call Whifill to see if they had any citrus trees with fruit still on them. I originally wanted to just order it over the phone but the man insisted I come down there to pick out the one I wanted. So I drove the 1 hour trek to the nursery. I SPECIFICALLY asked for a citrus tree with lots of fruit since most likely we will be selling the house in the next few months and I wanted to enjoy the fruit. I picked out a great tree and the salesman tagged it and I was on my way. This was on a Friday and my delivery was on the next Thursday, only 6 days later. When the trees got to my house I couldn't even tell if it was the tree I tagged because ""somehow"" every last piece of fruit that was on the tree was gone. NOT ONE LEFT. I called the nursery and explained what happened. The man that answered told me that most likely customers ate all of the fruit off of my tree after I had paid for it and after they moved it to the back of the property. He told me that they can't watch customers and it happens. Then he offered that I can drive there to get some fruit off of their main tree. Really???? I live 1 hour from the nursery and I bought a tree with plenty of fruit that I should be enjoying in my own backyard. So now I paid for a tree that I will not be able to enjoy because the ""customers"" ate off of the tree that I bought. Isn't that considered stealing?\r \r more
