Let me start by saying this... UNTIL yesterday, I was totally against buying an animal from a pet shop when so many animals need adopted from local shelters. (We currently have a dog and another cat that we've adopted from shelters & non profits.) My husband and I went into this location to ""burn some time"" while waiting for another retailer and found the newest member of our family! I spoke to one of the girls who worked there, who told me that because they are privately owned, they work with breeders and that is where they get their puppies. Whether this is TRUE or FALSE, let me tell you this: after I really put consideration in it, I realized that this little guy should not have to suffer not receiving a GOOD, LOVING home just because he is sitting in a cage in the pet store instead of at a shelter. It's not his fault where he comes from... he was born and he wants a loving family just like any other animal. We will be taking him to our family vet this week and I am sure he is healthy as he is a WONDERFUL little boy! If (in the event) he is not, we will cross that bridge when we get there as I would never consider returning him. :)\r
