Buyer beware!!\r \r In 2004 I bought a 1999 Toyota from Southtowne Hyundai (first mistake) I had downpayment plus a 1996 Surbura as a trade-in. They adverist that I did not needs a dowmpayment just bring your trade (false), after picking the used car test drove it I was happy ask what the selling price the saleperson told me $9,000 with payment of $350.00 a month great fix into my budget. Salemen took me to the loan officer Mr. P. he wrote up the application for the loan, it was approved he wrote up the contract at the price the saleman quoted but before I signed the contract he was call out by another man and he step out of the office when he return he was so sorry there was a misquote on how much the car really cost instead of $9,000 the 1999 will cost $12,000. and for me not to worry because my payment will still remind at $350 per month at first I was overwhelm by the extra $3,000 I said no just give me back my car, he left then came back and told me they has sent my car to another car lot. It was a nice car and the engine sounded good, I had spend 3 hours there already while he run my application and credit check. Ok I said then he try to show me a ""good faith"" effort that he was trying to help me so another hour go by while they try to get the manager to take off $1,000 from the price of the car, it did not happen.\r \r He assured me the payment will stay the same I drove the car home. Three days later he call and ask for me to come to his office I got there then he said they needed $1000 down after all plus my trade- in, and he has to find me another loan company before the first one has cancel my loan (in come First Investor) when he told me this was good company, I did not know any thing about "" sub loan"" he told me I did not have bad credit its just was not strong enought to get a $12,000. loan, No!! I want my car returned to me and I will give you back your car, he told me my car was sold to the salvage company, I payed the extra $1000. and told myself a lesson learned. \r \r My first payment I was told was not due until the next month, wronged! instead in the middle of the month I get a phone call telling me I was late (now the problems) I pay and kept paying on time, then I find out that rewrote my original contract but did not give me a copy I was furious they change my payment and when it was due and the amount to an extra $10.00 per months. \r After a year of these people I have had enough. I started double up my payment each months so I can be done with this company. I call them each month tell them I am sending two payment please put in toward the principle after about 3 months I ask for my copy of my payment and balance of my car loan. None of the extra payment when toward my principle instead I was told they can put my payment toward the interest if they wanted to.\r I was so ""done"" by 2006 I was having difficulties so I wanted to extend my loan with lower payment they did it for 2 months then the harassing phone calls started all time of night an day at home, at work they call, every hour on the hour for 8 hours. Then the verbal threats of coming to your job and they did send peoples to my job and ask for me and in threating tone in front of co-workers and customers tell me ""I needed to pay my bill"" at home they drive up and down your street or pull into your driveway 4 or 5 cars a day I call the police, no help available.\r \r Finally I told them to come and get the car, I cut my loses I only owned $4,000. \r \r This company use scarce tacties of bullying and harassment by phone and in person.\r \r So buyers BEWARE of Southtowne Hyundai and First Investors Servicing their headquarter is in Huston, Texas.\r \r Thank You\r Concern Citizen of Atlanta, Ga more
