For the size of the area it covers, the WTA is very typical for a bus service of its size.
The fare is the true value of the system - $1.00. But just recently discontinued it's transfer issuance. Which can be a pain if you need to make a connection after first bus.
They encourage purchasing their Month pass - which is reasonable, @$25.
Another disappointing aspect, it also recently discontinued Sunday service, which means if you live outside of Bellingham, you are out of luck if you do not have a car or friends that do.
Inside of Bellingham, the town is small enough you can walk if you do not have a monthly pass or need to get anywhere on Sunday.
