What I appreciate most at Delmonico's is the variety. You can have lobster, raw/seared tuna (ahi), other crustaceans like shrimp, oysters or their fresh fish of the day. It's an ideal place if you enjoy seafood, especially the dishes that are not always available at not-specialized restaurants.
It is also easy to be accompanied by someone who does not enjoy seafood as they also serve steak.
I recommend surf n turf if you are very hungry.
Cocktails are yummy, consistently good. Nice variety of wines to accompany your dinner. My favorite wine to eat with fish is their Pino Griggio.
Prices on the food are not too bad, it's the wine that really does the damage, but worth it in my opinion.
