Please don?t repeat the mistake I made by using Mr. Johansen?s services. First, call the Alaska Bar Association at 907-272-7469 to inquire on Mr. Johansen?s professional record. After I read the report they faxed me, I couldn?t believe that he did not loose his license right there and then. He was disciplined for unprofessional conduct and was required to take and pass the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination. In my case, when I came he promised help. I was broke but paid with my rent money because of the sense of urgency Mr. Johansen created. Six weeks later, he had not done one thing on my case. In fact, I started calling him almost every day and he wouldn?t answer the phone. But when I called a minute later from a different line, he was miraculously in his office. My bankruptcy case got dismissed, I had to use payday loans to pay for my rent while the retention fee I paid to Mr. Johansen was sitting in his banking account. I have to start all over again. This person should not be practicing law!
