We had taken our bassett to a different vet several times and tried different medications to resolve a weight loss issue and skin irriation. He had no progress and seemed to be getting worse. We went to the County Animal Hospital when Max was not eating at all and didn't want to move much. Right away Dr. Vitucci realized he had a serious infection and performed an emergancy surgery on Sunday. He then began to completely analyze the past history and gave us several possibilities for the weight issues. FINALLY A DOCTOR THAT CARES AS MUCH ABOUT OUR DOG AS WE DO!! We realize that there may not be a quick fix but it feels good to know you can trust that your vet is doing his best and has a defined plan.
