Came into the dog wash without calling (didn't realize you needed an appt,) but the lady said no problem. I would think she would have had time to AT LEAST wash the other dog hair out of the filthy tub before I came back in...yikes. This shop had two employees and yes, they were each grooming a small dog, but what a nasty mess the place was. Stacked filthy crates, filthy floors, and it smelled bad. I know, it's a dog wash right? But still, this was OLD dirt, not "we're just busy today and haven't had time to clean up" dirt. A very unhappy poodle in a big cage with a raging blow dryer barked the entire time, no one even checked on her. I had a small dog (short short hair) and then brought in my big dog, (short short hair). I asked if they had a step or stool I could get him up to the tub with --no go, but she helped me get him in. "When you're done you can just pull him over the side and let him slide down" Yah, um, thanks. Gave me shampoo, and two little thread bare towels. The employee next to me, the whole time on a cell phone, dragged a very scared dog into the tub, wet him down, cut his nails, and left him tied there while she finished her conversation in the other room. I had to put a towel on the tub floor so my dogs wouldn't slide all over the place, and then I put it on the floor so when I hefted the big one down by myself he wouldn't slide. Not complaining about that, but the look the employee gave me was not very kind...or polite...or human......then the other lady informed me I would have to pay extra for the big dog. I wondered if I should get an employee discount since I had to clean the tub before I washed my dogs...and I probably took extra dog hair home...yikes. I will not be going back there...I smiled and said have a nice day anyway--is it too much to ask for a business to be polite and give a little smile?
