I drove from San Diego and dropped the car off at Merced office. The worst customer service ever. First the woman working there Deniece kept asking me for the tag that is attached to the car keys, which I never had in the first place. They did not give me any plastic tag along with the keys in San Diego, and even after I explained it to her, she was trying to charge me for ""a missing tag"". Then she tells me that it is up for me to call the San Diego office to find out. Also, she tried to change me almost $70.00 for half a tank of gas, which made no sense for this economy car that I rented.
It was such a pleasant experience with Hertz in San Diego, and what a difference... I will never rent with Hertz Merced office again. Just the attitude of people working at this office was the most unpleasant and disrespectful. There is no such thing called customer service there.
