I stopped using this expensive vet years ago when my husband lost his job. I now use Banfield. However, I continued buying heartworm prevention from VCA FOR THE PAST TEN YEARS, I have purchased it from them every six months for the past ten years. However, today I was told they wouldn't sell it to me anymore, even after I had Banfield fax over his current negative heartworm test from 3 months ago and current shot records.\r
That's not the worst of it! We brought our other dog, 9-yr-old chihuahua, in for emergency vet care after an infection from a neighbor's dog bite, and they gave him a shot and said he'd be fine! They sold us an expensive antibiotic that we were supposed to start him on the next day! BUT WE COULDN'T GIVE HIM THE ANTIBIOTIC THE NEXT DAY BECAUSE HE DIED OVER-NIGHT! We were devistated! AND THEY REFUSED TO REFUND US FOR THE UNTOUCHED ANTIBIOTIC, EVEN THOUGH WE DIDN'T ASK FOR A REFUND FOR THE EXPENSIVE VET CARE! If you love your dog do not bring him to this INCOMPETENT vet
