I debated on writing another review about this place since so many people (well 3 actually) took the time to comment on my last review (on Yahoo I think) and they said I must have been there on a bad night. So, to be fair, I went back to the Irish Rover to review again.
I went on a night that had a few more people then the last time I went but the crowd was still polite and respectful. Then I watched an event that happened in the back by the kitchen. This woman with really long hair spilled and entire glass of red wine on a fellow customer. Now normally this behavior in a ""family"" restaurant the person would be politely escorted out the door. The next thing I see was one of the members in the band was giving her another glass of wine! So curiosity got the better of me and I hung around long enough to find out that he is the owner and this woman is his wife.
What can I say? Is this acceptable behavior in front of children? (I can't remember if any where in there at the time but there were some in there earlier.) I say again, I don't want my children exposed to this drunken behavior.
Service was good, food was okay and the music was the exact same as the last time, stiff and going through the paces.
Save your money, they still only get one star (I can't give zero starts or they would have earned it.
