I was really looking forward to going to this place. Heck, another ettore or karen's style bakery in a different part of town is always interesting. Not only was the service painfully slow- we ordered nothing cooked, and it took 30 minutes for our order. They were severly understaffed. When our order finally arrived it was incorrect. As was the bill. \r

At Ettore when you order a sandwich for the same price, you get a choice of side salads. Here you get a sandwich with scant ingredients alone on a plate-quite lonely looking. There are some restaurants who should focus on doing one thing well. Either decide to be a bakery or a cafe- clearly Miabelle cant do both well. \r

I'm surprised in this economy that this place has survived. I am giving it 1 star since the pastries did look lovely in their case. I could nit-pick on, but I think the sacbee needs to update their review of this establishment. The positive reviews are years old.\r

Needless to say, neither I nor the rest of my party will return, and we will be sure and use the ever powerful word of mouth. \r

Bottom line- skip this place and head to Karen's in folsom or ettore's on fair oaks blvd if you want a true pastry/cafe experience.
