A sublime mix of tomato and cucumber chunks, some red onion slivers, and a good heaping of Mama Petrillo's own dressing--a mixture of canola oil, red wine vinegar, cheese, and spices.\r

I've been back in Massahusetts now for several years, and my sister has, thankfully, sent me a few bottles of dressing, but it's never enough! And it's definitely not the same as being in the real restaurant, eating the salad as the kitchen staff has prepared it!\r

The salad is seasonal, so make sure you ask if they're serving it. It's sized as an entree, so you might not need anything to accompany it, but spaghetti with marinara sauce would be all you need to reach nirvana.
