Purchased a Lexus RX 350 and found the deal and experience to be ok. Purchasing a car without seeing it is difficult and buyers should take precausions if possibile. There were a few surprises that detracted from the deal.\r
- Condensation on the drivers light that I will need to have repaired. Should be covered but a hassel to get fixed.\r
- No floor mats, owners manual or spare key. Not big deals and these were not listed in the posting but I would have liked Motorcars to make me aware of these issues.\r
- I asked for a walk around review of the car and the exterior was as described by the agent but the interior was not. There were markings on the dash, stains on the carpet, scratches on the door panels and seats. These were not described accurately to me and I expected a fairly clean interior and this was not the case. Some of this maybe cleaned but others are likely perminate.\r
Positives\r
- Agent offered to have the car inspected (I paid $130 for this) which gave me peace of mind on the operation of the car.\r
- Price was attractive but now that I see the interior quality of the car I question if this was a great deal.\r
- Straight forward negotiation and simple to work with.\r
- Paperwork was easy and payment options made the transaction simple. \r
So all in all I am ok with the deal but I would suggest that if possibile it is best to see the car first. It is hard to get a good feel for the quality without seeing it first hand. This is also a small dealership so they may not be purchasing top notch cars so that they can offer customers a lower price. You will get what you pay for so do not expect a great deal for a top quality car. In my opinion this car was in KBB fair condition.\r
Bottom line is if you are looking for a lower cost car, with a simple transaction and you are willing to accept a fair quality then this is a great place. If you expect a top quality used car then check it out first.
