I’ve really struggled with my weight for the last year or more and it has been very difficult. I faced a lot of challenges over the last couple of years and I had changed a lot. I wasn’t accustomed to my clothes not fitting or not following through on goals and that was difficult. I tried to eat less and work out more, but it didn’t help because I continued eating for comfort. I was fighting with myself all the time and I didn’t really have a clear idea about why I wasn’t capable of staying focused. I let myself make bad decisions with food choices and didn’t care about it.
I heard about A New Day Hypnosis through groupon. I wanted to try hypnotherapy and I knew that I had a lot to work on. I felt like there were some things that I needed to figure out and I trusted the idea of hypnosis because I have a family member who practices hypnosis.
I noticed my thought processes changing pretty quickly after the first session; there was a big change in my self-dialogue as I realized how cruel I had become towards myself. Once I understood how huge of a factor my self-talk was, a lot of other things began to fall into place. The weight loss has come a lot easier than it had before because I don’t beat myself up anymore. It’s a process and a life change and I’ve taken the pressure off of myself to solve everything immediately, which has been really good.
I’m not negative towards myself and whether I do well or make a mistake, I don’t go overboard anymore. I feel more in control, I can stick to a plan and I know that the cookie will be there later if I want it. I have a more positive outlook in general and there isn’t such a sense of urgency about everything.
I have been able to get off my anti-depressant and I don’t think I would have been able to do that had I not been doing hypnotherapy. I have more energy and motivation to get out of bed. I sleep a lot better now and my sleep has continued to improve. Hypnosis has helped me cut down on sweets, I don’t eat late anymore, and I don’t feel the need to eat until I’m completely full. I don’t associate food with emotions and I have a healthier attitude about eating and food.
My boyfriend has noticed that I look more like myself. He has also commented that I have better energy now. Friends at work have noticed that I have lost weight and that I seem happier and more satisfied in general.
Hypnosis has helped me to learn to relax. It’s personalized to my own tendencies and it is tailored to me. I’ve really enjoyed this and I am more focused and feel better. The biggest benefit for me has been that I am treating myself better and I have more self-respect in general. I know that I will continue to get healthier because it is a lifestyle change for me. I have recommended A New Day Hypnosis to friends and colleagues because it worked for me. If I can see in someone else that they are struggling in the same way that I was, I would suggest that they try this avenue because it has been very effective for me.
