I heard about Transmissions Only on a Christian radio station, and I also heard about another shop. My transmission was slipping really bad, and I couldn't go into higher gears. I took it to the other place I heard about, and they took lot of time diagnosing the issue. They said that all the gears were gone, and it would be $2,000 to replace the transmission. I didn't have the money, so I said I needed to find a second opinion.
I called Transmissions Only and asked what it would cost to replace the transmission, but they said they would rather look at it and to bring it to the shop. I went and sat down and talked to Stacey. Her husband walked in, and he said it sounded like kick down cables or a grommet and asked what year the car was.
It ended up that it was a grommet that was missing. They replaced it for $25, and it was fine. It was just a little grommet, and then it was good. It is still running fine, and that was 2 years ago. I told them that they are now my transmission shop.
I have taken my car back there since then for maintenance, fluids and filters changed. I don't think there is any place else to go. They are not just trying to make a buck. They are there to do what services need to be done and give an honest deal. I have recommended them.
