Just reviewed my final settlement statement 2 weeks after I've closed. And because of their incompetence, we closed a week late.
on the final statement, there are charges totally up to $650 that I never knew existed (was never on HUD-1, or Good Faith Estimate), was never told those fees even existed. They are listed as ""after hours, processing, extra work"". What? Why am I paying for their incompetence? Just because they can't finish their work on time, I need to pay for their overtime? Furthermore, I was never told that these charges would be in here.
Here's what they did: I wired a little more money to them than I should have in order to cover all the fees, and was expecting them to refund any additional money that wasn't used. Well, they made up charges to use up ALL the money.
Avoid these guys are all cost. They are crooks!
