Looks can be deceiving 9/25/2010

If you are looking for child care below the age of 3, I would keep looking. Primrose of Castle Hills does not begin to shine until the preschool classes and up. One of the infant teachers is very sweet, but some of them should have been fired a long time ago. Speaking with other parents, I have learned that not all the infant teachers really care about the children, and that is quite alarming. The cost of this center is astronomical, and it continues to increase. Not only do you pay a pretty penny for the tuition itself, they slam you for registration and supply fees three times a year, all of which are usually above 100 dollars. I will admit that they have some nice amenities and that some of the programs they have throughout the year are nice, but when it comes down to it, you will have to decide if it is all worth it in the end. The director Mrs. Braun is absolutely amazing. Never in all my years of dealing with preschool management have a come across a more competent director. She is very genuine and helpful and I can really tell she cares about the children. However, Mrs. Mccarrel is as fake as they come. She is unhelpful, rude, and talks to all the parents as if they have some sort of mental defect. I'm sorry, but most of the parents are professionals and deserve so much more respect. The woman is just self absorbed and it sends a negative vibe throughout the center. I have even witnessed her treating her employees in the same manner, and that is just bad management. I personally would not want my child around someone so negative. Only you can decide what is fact or fiction when touring this Primrose. If it appeals to you, by all means enroll your child, but just be cautious. more
