I usually start with the positive, but here I am going to start with the negative. The only thing really negative was the portion size. The portions were enormous. Unless you are a hot-dog eating contest winner, I would only order two courses.
The entrance, the decor, the vibe, the life of the restaurant was exhilarating ! The owners have clearly paid attention to each detail from linen selection, chair selection, art, flooring and lighting. All of this does not go unnoticed as every part of it adds to the experience.
We started with the roast corn soup which was a special. It stayed true to the flavor of corn without adulterating it with too much seasoning. I then had the green miso sea bass. This was served over their home made ramen noodles. I would go back just to have their ramen noodles. They offer this as a side. If your meal does not come with them, I would order them to split amongst the table. None of us could finish our entrees if we had any chance of eating desert so we stopped and left half of our entrees in order that we could eat a few bites of desert. The deserts did not match the quality of the entrees, but they were still good. Our table ordered the chocolate ganache cake which was good, not too sweet and served with strawberry based condiments. We also ordered the ""creamsicle"" cake. This was really good but we could not finish it because we were too full. This restaurant is a must if you are going to be in Santa Fe. The bill was only $220 for three of us. We don't drink though so you would have to add in alcohol if consumed. Our server wasn't the best but the food and experience made up for it.
