These guys are dishonest 9/7/2010

I called this shop and received a low $1800 quote over the phone. they called me 3 days later and said it would be another $1000 to replace a cracked head. I told them not to do it and he said it would be $1000 for the tow and the tear down so I gave in. When I picked up the car it stalled 4 times, once on the freeway and I took it back. They got it to run but it runs like crap. I took it to another mechanic for work they said it needed or the warranty was void. This mechanic was suspicious of the work done. He said it was already leaking oil and sounded like bad lifters. He put a camera in the engine and said that the pistons were not new and had too much carbon for 180 miles. He did a compression check and found they were all too low 99, 93,73,88 far below the 101 min to Ford spec rebuilt engines usually have 180. Definitely not new pistons and rings, and most likely have a cracked head hence the uneven pressures. The thing is they charged me for a new head, piston, lifters, rings, gaskets, and reground crankshaft. I filed withe the B.A.R. and I will be taking them to small claims court. If you need to rebuild a engine find another shop with good reviews. more
