I recently moved out of my apartment complex in Muncie, IN that we were renting from Asset Management. I was very disappointed in their service and recommend anybody that is renting or thinking about renting from them to take precautions. Our apartment looked exactly the same when we moved out as it did when we moved in, but we only got $229 back of our $945 security deposit. We were charged for them having to clean the bathtubs, sinks, toilets, cabinets, base boards, fridge, oven, and microwave, even though they were all thoroughly cleaned before we moved out. I would advise anybody that is living in a house or apartment that is owned by Asset Management to take very detailed pictures of before and after to prove that everything was cleaned and there is no reason why you should be charged. Also, be sure to change the drip pans in the oven and cover all nail holes because they charge a ridiculous amount to replace and repair those. We were also charged for an outlet cover that they said was missing, but it was there when we moved out. I know we are not the only tenants that got screwed over and I just want to warn people so this does not happen to you as well.
