Used to be that you could just go to the friendly bank teller and make a deposit. Now you have to say no to this and no to that. I can't make a cash deposit anymore at the drive thru without them trying to sell me overdraft protection. I can't go in and make a deposit without them telling me they have to update my phone number (a simply 10-second online fix) and then before I know it I am being whisked away to a desk and being offered overdraft protection AGAIN and asked to open a savings account and I am already running late with my dog waiting for me in my car - I don't like to leave her in there more than a couple of minutes! And they are so insincere at every Wachovia location. They don't ask to give your dog a dog biscuit; they put it like this: would you have a PROBLEM if I give your dog a biscuit? Some people do. Maybe it's just me. I'm old, right?
