Read my review in chow hound. I hate to give one star but I feel like in this case it is really needed. I have been to this place well over a hundred times and fully enjoyed myself dining with friends and having lunch meetings. The service has always been the best and still is. With that said, I noticed the quality of the food has gone down, there's no thought to the dishes, it's just blah. I don't know what has changed. Did they get a new chef? A new manager? I'm not sure but what I am sure about is that restaurant basics were missing. No salt and pepper shakers at the table? It's not just my table but all the tables didn't have them. I had to ask the waiter-it's like having to ask for utensils or a napkin at a restaurant. I also noticed the lively vibe of the place missing. The dining room use to be busy and so did the bar but now it seems like the place is taking a dive. God I really hope not, I've met the owner before and he was really sweet with me and my friends- he sat us down and even got our order for drinks. Overall my last experience was embarassing becase I was with fellow foodies. If not for the attentive servers the whole experience would have been worse. I would encourage management to step it up, get a consultant and turn this classic back into what it use to be. Focus your menu a little more and don't raise your prices - this will be the kiss of death for a restaurant in this economy.
