Recently I visited the showroom in Lexington Park in response to their advertisement stating, in part, Toyota of Southern Maryland will offer 120% of the Fair Market Value of my car as quoted in the Blue Book. After doing research with Kelley?s, a member buying service and obtaining prior approval for a loan, I was prepared to purchase a new car. \r

Instead the sales team offered the Blue book trade-in value, a smoke screen of dealer costs necessary to prepare a traded car for resale, etc, nothing about fair market value as advertised. That approach negated any incentive for purchasing a car. The bait and switch and lack of good faith by the sales people meant Toyota of Southern Maryland lost a sale and a customer.
