I've always found Athens to be consistent - not great, but consistent in service and food quality. On Saturday ordered an eggplant parmesan sandwich, and when it arrived took one bite to determine it wasn't eggplant. When I showed the waitress that I thought it was meat not eggplant, she put her face down to the dish, declared it eggplant, but just cooked to a crispy stick. I ended up just pulling it off my sandwich and having the bread and sauce. When the bill came, I was horrified to see it said ""veal parmesan"" - I haven't eaten veal in 34 years and was literally sick to my stomach. When I showed her that she had put in the wrong order, and that I don't eat veal, her reaction was ""you're not going to get sick from that one bite are you?"" And I ended up paying for it!
Pros: Some quality Greek dishes
Cons: Service
