I was very disappointed when Bamboomoves in Forest Hills moved to a new location. The main yoga room doesn't have a door on it, which means you can hear the people checking in (beeps) and talking in the waiting room while you are trying to concentrate. Also annoying, but less so, is the street noise that comes from Queens Blvd. The studio faces the noisy street. Kinda goes against the whole yoga philosophy!
Even in 95 degree weather, the air conditioning is not turned on. Given that this is NOT bikram yoga or 'hot yoga,' I really don't want to be sweating to death while I do yoga.
There is no bathroom inside the studio. You have to check out a key to use the public bathroom in the building.
Especially worth noting....when the instructor ends a 75-minutes class after 50 minutes because she ""wants to attend the next yoga class in the other room,"" you're definitely not getting what you paid for.
Evening classes can get so crowded, you barely have room to move! Again, not worth the money.
Overall, what you get with Bamboomoves is not worth the cost. Even with a 10-class package, you're paying $15 per class. I'd be perfectly fine with this if there weren't so many cons!
Pros: variety of classes; classes offered at convenient times
Cons: difficult to concentrate and be calm; expensive
