I have precious little papillon who was not spayed and she was about to be 1 and half. Unfortunately, she had mated with my friends pit bull and was pregnant with 6 babies (we found out later). We weren't so worried, we had figured to just gift the puppies to family but about 35 days in we had noticed that she had almost tripled her weight and got worried. So we went to Greenwood Animal hospital because they had the first free visit thing. And let me tell you it was about the best decision I'd made. Turned out that the poor pup could not have been able to reproduce mature babies and there was a serious threat to herself. So the doc suggested to spay her and take out the babies and not waste anytime. He helped us make our decision and gave my family time alone to discuss what we wanted. If we would've wanted the babies then she wouldve had to have a C-section done because there was no other way the babies would make.
