I too think that the costs sway on the high side. I had to take my companion in because I wasn't close to my vet and ran into a bit of an emergency and he was the closest one at the time. Although they were responsive (who wouldn't be to a frantic walk-in) I felt they were over the top and really tugged at one's emotions and generally upsell meds, care and tests.\r
I instructed them to send that visit's notes to my vet (took 2 days to put 1 sheet in the fax machine) and they continued to solicit me for business even though TWICE I told them I have a vet - I told them twice to put me on their do not call list)
