Basically I joined Citysearch just so I could share the experience I had at Steak 'n Shake at a wonderful day at Cedar Point with some friends. Upon arriving, our wonderful day turned into a night that was less than enjoyable. We decided to go to Steak 'n Shake for the sole purpose of drinking their delicious milkshakes, but we were in for a surprise. It took them a good ten minutes to seat us, and there were tons of tables open! Our waiter did not attend to us until at least 15 minutes after we had been seated. We had all planned out our meals, all including milkshakes. Our jerk of a waiter finally came over, and when someone asked for a milkshake, he told us they were out of milkshakes! What?! For some reason, I'd think a place called Steak If anything, I'd say that's false advertising. So we ordered our food (only because we had already been in the restaurant for a good half hour), and the waiter could tell we were upset. However he did nothing to accommodate for our lack of milkshakes. All he did was be a total jerk. He even had the audacity to tell a friend of mine that he was going to get ink poisoning and die! Who does that?! Not a decent waiter that's for sure. Not only was he a jerk, but it took at least an hour for us to get our food. Three tables seated after us had already been half done eating. But this idiot had to make us wait even longer. We barely had enough time to run down to Coldstone Creamery down the road, where they did not run out of ice cream, and their service was far superior to that of Steak 'n Shake.
If all you are looking for is a tasty treat after a long day at Cedar Point, I would suggest you forget about Steak 'n Shake. Seeing more than likely, they'll be out of ice cream. And just hit up Coldstone instead. Plus they'll sing for you if you give them a tip. I will never go to this particular Steak 'n Shake again. Not only because they couldn't offer me what their title implies, but because if I ever have to deal with that waiter again, I will have to punch him in the face.
