this is a place that you have to know how to get to. I mean...it's on a small two lane road in a building that looks so bad that it should be torn down. but that is again a part of the charm. it's not pretentious, it's a straight forward no-frills-let-the-food-speak-for-itself type of place. they don't use silly decorations or loud music to pull you in. their beef is the BEST YOU WILL EVER...EVER HAVE!!! Their pork sandwiches and ribs are very good as well! they make their own potato salad, cole slaw, and baked beans. the only food they do not make is the bread..(hey...it's merita old fashioned white bread...so why mess with perfection there, eh?) now...the place itself has no a/c, and the bathrooms are outside...there again..a part of the charm! and the pits are wood fired....they chop their own wood from what it looks like...you will see the wood stacked up outside. I may be wrong about that...but I know i'm right about everything else! brave statement you say? come check for yourself then! off of Old Dixie Highway right here in auburndale!
Pros: love everything about it
Cons: it's not open more throughout the year!!!
