Though I now live out of state, I’m a local Newporter and Chrisitie’s has become my ""go to"" when I’m home to visit. It’s the perfect place to meet up with the girls for cocktails, take my mom out for lunch, or gather a group of friends for a dinner. The drinks are enormous and reasonably priced, the menu is eclectic enough that there is something for everyone (and the small plates let you sample and share!), and they have a HUGE center table that let’s you seat everyone in your party. Everyone I bring here is blown away by the décor and can’t believe that this place is in Newport. (I love the wall art) To me, Chrisitie’s is quirky, fresh and I’ve always had a great time. I’ve never had any service problems and in fact have had a couple occasions where the staff went out of their way to assist me, making me continually go back. I’ve worked in enough restaurants to know that food or ambience alone aren’t enough to make a place, it’s all about the staff. And they are great here! I was there this past weekend with one of my young niece’s who has food allergies and our server made the ordering easy and we were stress-free knowing that all our concerns were addressed. I’d recommend it as a great place to go for anyone looking to break away from run of the mill.
