VERY HAPPY! 7/23/2010

I saw Dr. C about a procedure to peel & make my skin firmer, tighter & get rid of fine lines. I'm 43 & in the past yr noticed my skin started looking less firm & tired & my pores seemed slightly lrger than when ynger. Dr. C recomened TCA Peel for under eyes only (which is done in surgery room w/anesthesia & has significant down time), I read about it & decided I wanted my whole face as it's said to tighten, get rid of wrinkles, make pores appear smaller etc. Dr. C said I had to get a pre-op micro-dermabrasion at his spa nxt door to prep for the procedure. I didn't want to & thought it was a gimmick to make money (if you're pre-op you get the srvce for $80 instead of $125). Boy was I wrong! My skin looked so much better, I didn't even need the peel anymore! Dr. C saw me shortly after and refused to even do the peel because my skin looked so good! I really respect this Dr. because he cost himself money by making me get this inexpensive procedure, & then unlike most other Drs in town, refused to do an unnecessary procedure. The micro only took about 20 mins & the results were so good, I just scheduled another & one for my 14 yr old (w/minor acne). It cleared out pores like no other srvce I've ever had!!! There was no discomfort or burning & about 3 days later & had light peeling. After the peeling, my skin looked gorgeous & radiant & my pores so much smaller! This is the best skin treatement I've ever had. I used to spend thousands on IPL treatments & never had my skin look this good (4-5 pr. yr @ $575 pr. session). Dr. C's staff is very courteous & professional. I forgot my appnt & called the nxt day & they rescheduled, then because of an emergency w/my 6 yr old, I was running 15 mins late & they were gracious & very accomodating. Everyone makes scheduling mistakes INCLUDING PATIENTS! So lighten up. The out-of-date decor really didn't bother me, the results and the fantastic price is unbeatable & I can't recommend this place enough! P.S. My friend didn't listen to me & just went to a ""posh"" plastic surgeon in PV & had her face ruined w/a TCA peel. She has pigmentation loss. She wasn't told of the risk, especially w/darkr skin clr & wasn't given any anesthesia. Ouch! She said is was excrutiatingly painful, oh & she paid more then I was going to pay w/Dr. C INCLUDING ANESTHESIA! She said his office was furnished very nice though! I did read the other reviews & several people said their skin peeled after various srvcs. I do think this office gives more medical grade svcs than the typical ""spa."" This is a great place for intensive treatments and while there was no fancy ""ritz carlton type robe"", the room was beautiful & spacious w/a wall size window facing the stunning river. So take your pick, go the Ritz (which I have for massages in a closet size rm w/no window & a mere aroma candle), or have a room almost the size of a bedroom w/a river view). Also, one review said they didn't get their full alloted time on a massage. How about asking why they cut it short, etc., instead of just complaining about it? Perhaps you were wrong about the length because if appnts are every 30 mins, its reasonable to assume the massage won't be 30 mins long (more like 20 mins) due to sanitary reasons, etc. I was just very sad when I saw how rude some of these reviewers were. P.S. I've been 3 diffrnt plastic surgeons, one caused permanent pigment damage w/restalyne under my eye (he's in PV), another caused a bad result w/under chin lipo that Dr. C said was done improperly, & I just saw a san marco derm that charged me $160 for an office vist w/no services only to say he doesn't use restalyne so has no idea how to fix undereye pigment damage as a result of restalyne (he told me to Miami!) Anyone that gripes about plastic flowers & decor when getting such great services as a full face microdermabrasion for $80-125 is crazy! Pros: GREAT RESULTS Cons: None really more
