I do NOT recommend 7/9/2010

I love to support local business', especially when they are faith based. So I was eager to try out the new vet. Dr. Carter is a very nice lady but she doesn't seem to take the time to go over details about what is wrong with your pet or what you should do!! I took my cat in who had blood in the stool and after the fecal test she LEFT the clinic!! She did not even bother to let me know or say good bye and left me asking her tech all my questions who did not know what to tell me!! When should I bring her back? What should I keep an eye out for? Anything I should give her for the blood in the stool? Nothing...she had to go ask another tech and even she was not very sure how to answer my questions. Her techs are very amateur in handling the animals and also in administering vaccines (I had to pay over $75 just so I could help hold and administer meds myself). I must admit two of the techs are good but everyone else I would not trust with even a stray animal in desperate need of help. I can say this confidently because I have seen every tech there with all my animals. My family and friends have all had the same experience. I have given her multiple tries and every time was a disappointment. I would not recommend Dr. DeAnna Carter-Smith, DMV. Your pets health is not worth the extra dollars you save. I recommend the VCA in Lake Jackson very strongly. They are very professional and take the time to help you understand what is wrong and the course to take (I even got to look in the microscope). If you ever have a question you can call and speak directly to the vet. This was NOT the case at Faith & Healing....we just had the amateur tech call back and all she said was 'Uhhhhhh...it should be fine. Uhhhh' Cons: Not Detailed - Unexperinced Tech more
