Dutch Village Death Trap 7/2/2010

They moved me into the apartment without checking to ensure it was safe. The first 3 days i Kept smelling gas. they. were fast to send someone out. But the problem remained. A maintence person would come over and check the stove they would smell the gas to. I finally the 3 night there i got really sick and called BGE and the fire department. The problem was not the stove but the hot water heater. the exhaust was not put on. I was breathing gas for 3 day. I ended up in the hospital. And was charged 450.00 for abulance and luckily all i needed as air at the hospital and doctor didnt bill me. I sent the apartment the bill for the ambulance and they said take it out of your renters but renters insurance did not cover it . I told them that and we went back in forth until i finally had to take them to court. But i could not afford an attorney and it was not a criminal case no public defender. Since it was for 450.00 no attorney would would go for that. They submitted a document to have the case dismissed saying that there was no evidence and the judge signed it . Before i could sumbit a rebutal it was too late. With all the evidence i had to learn to compile when i submitted it the judge would not hear the case due to the dissmal. It was a slap in the face. this apartment management team is bad. I had to pay that out of pocket and since i did not pay it it on my credit report city of baltimore collection. I so hate that management team. Pros: near shopping centers Cons: Management. more
