I chose All Awesome Movers b/c the reviews were 5 stars and b/c they had reasonable rates. Well, maybe picking a company with ""reasonable rates"" isn't a good thing. \r

Moving out: \r
They put a one inch dent in the master bedroom wall while moving an empty chest and neglected to tell us about it. We saw it upon our moveout inspection. \r

We helped load the truck to make it go faster b/c it was a really hot day. Even with help, they took many smoke breaks and complained a lot.\r

Took apart every piece of furniture. We asked if they would put it back together upon move in and they said yes.\r

Scuffs/marks up each staircase. Once realized, a stair cover was put down...Shouldn't this have been done first?\r

Dents and scratches on almost every wall. \r
\r
Another hot day so we were helping unload (our move consisted of one night storage - so there was a break between loading and unloading). More complaining and the one guy didn't even help. It seemed as if they got too tired and just started leaving everything wherever they felt like.\r

As they finished we checked to see if the furniture was put back together. It wasn't. We asked if they planned on putting it back together and they said, ""Oh, do you want us to?"" Yes, please...you took it apart and told us the day before you'd put it all back together.

Our bookcase was broken while in the truck's overnight storage. We were reimbursed for it.\r

As we started to unpack we noticed other broken items, scratches and marks on our belongings that were not there prior to the move. \r

Overall, I was disappointed in the entire process. I realize boths days were extremely hot, but we were helping load and unload as well to make everything go by faster. Be prepared for all types of weather. Bring water, or other liquids, or accept our offer of providing drinks. \r

Don't complain - it's rare that people LOVE every aspect of a job, but don't let in on how much you hate it. \r

For the guy who didn't want to help - seriously? Why did we pay you then? \r

If you ruin, scratch, dent, or break something, don't hide it from the customer, show them and explain the company's procedure on how to fix it. \r
