Where to begin, well, let's start with the room. Dirty. I spent my first two days of vacation cleaning the filthy bathroom (dirt and layers of dust on tub, sink, and the glasses that were in the bathroom for drinking.) The housekeeping staff is atrocious. They never replaced anything. We had to call down several times for toilet paper, washcloths, hand towels, sugar, everything. We felt like the bad guys because everytime we asked for something, the staff never apologized, and they acted condescending and put out that we were even calling to interrupt their days. There was a large group of lacrosse players playing in the hallways, lobby, parking garage, and every public area we went into. They ran up and down the stairs, hallways, and screamed and yelled as if they were on the field. When we brought this to the hotel's attention, they laughed and said, ""Oh you're not the first to complain, but they're checking out in a few days."" and laughed it off as if it were no big deal. Are you kidding me? It seemed like a huge liability to me. Their were dried food particals stuck to the filthy couch cushions and the patio outside of our ""suite"" was so disgusting, we had to clean it before we could use it. The table was covered in dirt and dust. The chairs had clearly never been wiped down, and the planters were filled with dirt and nothing else. No flowers, plants, or anything to make the patio a more pleasant environment. The hotel pool is maked off into three lanes for lap swimmers. We never even used it because it was constantly in use by lap swimmers and not user friendly for people who just wanted to enjoy the pool or children. The food and drink prices were outrageous, even by our standards. We have traveled all over the world and usually stay at five star hotels. We made a huge mistake by staying at this property and I would never recommend it to anyone. The toilet paper, paper towels, and tissues were all of very poor quality and ripped and shredded when you attempted to use any of them. Worst of all I think was how we were treated by the staff. The valet gentlemen were great, but the rest of the staff seemed clearly irritated if we even attempted to talk about the issues. It's a shame that a new property has so many problems. I asked a housekeeper for an item and her reply was ""Me no speak english."" Amazing. Westin is not the hotel chain I remember from traveling for business. I would have given this property zero stars if I could have. Save your money and go elsewhere.
Pros: Nice valet staff -that is it.
Cons: Dirty rooms, unapologetic staff, rip off.
